The FANTASE Dome Fest is a multimedia interactive light festival. By connecting opaque and semi-opaque 360 degree domes, light installations will be seen from both inside and outside these structures. For six hours, the FANTASE Dome Fest will be free and open to the public to experience art projections, inspired design, music, and downtown vibrancy in a major community event.
In order to remain a key cultural center and destination, Santa Fe must maintain and expand the special sense of place that Santa Fe exudes that will bring even more international visitors, conferences, and investors to our community. Santa Fe competes against world-class destinations around the world. Santa Fe needs to continue to build on its assets to remain an attractive destination for young visitors.
The FANTASE Dome Fest will support this need by transforming downtown Santa Fe into an extravaganza of light, art, music, and vitality—highlighting Santa Fe’s extraordinary cultural and creative assets. The intention of this prototype event is also to continue exploring the possibilities of transforming FANTASE into a globally renowned festival that energizes the city with bold, exciting new art, design, and technology.
